Support for Children and Families

The Support for Children and Families Action Team focuses on making a difference in the history of generational poverty by identifying, working with, and supporting community partners and assisting families as they work for improved educational opportunities, emotional supports, housing, nutritional needs, health care services and other services offered to help families and children.

Our action team works to improve understanding and to advocate with community and state leaders and others for improved trauma informed care, additional social and emotional supports, secure housing and food, as well as improved educational and training opportunities for children and families.  In addition, we encourage our Interfaith Alliance on Poverty supporters to volunteer in these areas when they can.
