Interested in What You Can Do to Help? 

• Join us at our First Thursday Meetings from noon to 1:30 on the first Thursday of each month to learn more about what is happening and to hear speakers from organizations who are partners in this work. Pre-register at https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZ0tc-qhpjMpHtA2ouajHujvzdLrKZT-BEzV  . You will be sent a Zoom link to the next meeting. 

• Read about our three action teams. They are:

  • Poverty Awareness, (a team that helps our congregations and neighbors understand the causes of poverty and the systems that keep people in poverty);

  • Transitions to Stability, (the team that assists families in moving into housing and jobs by working with partner non-profits);

  • The Advocacy Team (the team that studies proposed policy changes and helps the Alliance and its partners advocate for those that will help people stay out of poverty.) For more information about each team, visit  https://www.allianceonpoverty.org/action-teams-1#action-teams-info . 

• Once you have a chance to see how we work, learn more about each of our working teams by writing to the team leaders at info@allianceonpoverty.org . You can visit a meeting, and see if you want to be a contributor to that work. We will be glad to meet you and look forward to your ideas and your assistance in alleviating poverty in our region.
